  Above all else, we focus on flavor, which begins with the sun, soil, temperature, and water. The Colchagua Valley was named “World’s Best Wine Region” by Wine Enthusiast magazine. Our grapes are grown 100% organically. We use no preservatives, pesticides, fungicides, herbicides or other toxicants. We focus on sustainable agricultural methods, including reduced crop rotation, tilling, and we use well-fed drip irrigation to eliminate runoff and minimize soil erosion and water consumption. This results in a stronger vineyard, a more robust terroir, better grapes and a healthier, superior tasting wine.
  
  Our grapes are grown and harvested by hand to reduce bruising and preserve the sugar and flavor of the grapes. Our wine is naturally aged in the finest quality French oak barrels. Rigorous quality control and grape selection from the vineyard to the barrel ensures the quality and taste of the wine. Our wine-making process is artisanal, deliberate and flexible. No two vintages are ever the same. We are constantly tasting, thinking, evaluating, and adapting to coax the best possible quality from every bottle we make. We strive to create delicious, consistent, unique, and memorable wines.
  
  Our passion for organic agriculture, sustainability and the general welfare of the planet extends beyond the fences of our vineyard, our region and our country. We are a small vineyard, few in number, but we do what we can to help. Proceeds from every bottle we sell go to organizations committed to protecting our planet, expanding national parks and wildlife refuges, reducing pollution, defending our oceans, moving beyond fossil fuels, reducing plastic consumption, and slowing climate change.   Sucesores de Benito Santos
  
  En el año 1979 Benito Santos certifica su bodega y crea su marca: Viña Xoan, uva procedente del Pago de Xoan. El día 4 de Abril de 1981 fue nombrado vocal del Consello Regulador específico del albariño junto a Germán Pintos, Santiago Ruiz, Elísardo Lago, Francisco Méndez, Ramón Gil y Jesús Gómez Gil. Así empezó la formación de la D.O. Rías Baixas. El día 12 de junio de 1986 fue la bodega número 17 en inscribirse en la D.O. Rías Baíxas.
  Fue un defensor acérrimo de que el cosechero debía presentar únicamente los vinos procedentes de sus fincas. Con su finca de Xoan, justo al lado de la bodega, y la incorporación de las fincas de la Iglesia San Esteban de Saiar y la finca de la iglesia Santa María de Bemil, los hijos de Benito Santos continúan la lucha para conservar la noble uva Albariño. El resultado es un vino que nace en la tierra del monasterio de Cálago en Vilanova de Arousa, cerca de la cuna del Albariño.
